so i was told this story and its cool. its a good one to think about.

Soo there is this town, on the hill next to this town is a wise old man.  Everytime someone had a question they would go up the hill and talk to him and he would always have an answer for them.

There was one kid in town though, the smart ass kid, who thought he was always right and decided to go up the hill and fool the old man.  He thought about how and finaly came up with a skeme to fool him

So he walked up the hill with a bird, he was going to hold it behind his back and ask the man if the bird was alive or dead.  If he said alive he would break the bird neck and throw it on the ground. If he said dead then he would let the bird go and it would fly away.

So finaly he confronted the wide old man at the top of the hill and said, "i have a bird behind my back, tell me if it is alive or dead." the old man looked at the boy. thought for awhile adn then smiled...... he said to the boy, "its in your hands."  the boy was outraged step forward and yelled, "anser my question is the bird alive or dead?!?!?!?!" the old man calmly stepped backand said, "Its in your hands if the bird lives or dies."

LOL i dont know why i like that.   I guess because it reminds me that my life is in my hands.  i was decided what i am to become.   When times get tough do you chose to turn to God or away from him?

the story was told to me by Asher Griffin

Here i am, I am standing on new ground. In a new world one that i have never seen.  The people here are different than the ones i use to know.  The world looks at my beleifs and how i act and see me as odd... i am not the norm of this world...  The pressure to conform to the customs of the land is building.  My allies in this area in life are few and distant. I must look to God now in this part of my life soo that i dont stumble away from my faith in God. The battle for the person i am to become is here.

Everything that has happend to me in my life has lead me to this.... May God help us all and guide us.

wow... i just got back from hiking in Wy. and it was beautiful. lol i must laugh. every time i go hiking God finds a way to break me. this time it was a combonation.  it was the stress of the team and individuals not carrying thier weight, the heat and up hill all day, and the blo that finaly knocked me out was that i thought i lost my very nice marmot rain jacket.  and the fealing that i was distant from God didnt help.  lol sooo now i set the stage.  the first night it rained and i see rain as perfect evidence of God presence. theres just something about it. then after i practicaly cracked this amazing guy named john that was on staff told me his verse for the day that talked about if we stumble under stress/little things what little streght we have. lol the whole trip was a wake up call. But i received a ton of encouragement and guidance and i feal like i am on the track to being a warrior.
